A cozy sofa accompanied by pillows and throw blankets is the key to a homey living room. When choosing a sofa, you want to take fabric, color, pattern, and shape into consideration.
Stop buying white sofas!! No one feels like they can get comfortable on a white sofa without getting it dirty or messing it up. Instead opt for a warmed toned sofa in a durable chenille or microfiber fabric. It is still a neutral color that will go with anything and last you a long time while being less sterile than the white sofa.

In addition to patterned pillows, a patterned sofa will make your apartment feel very cozy. A patterned sofa is an ode to English Country interior design which screams homey. While there are many places to find a patterned sofa, the best bang for your buck will be secondhand places like FB marketplace and Ebay.
While a low profile sofa is a more modern look, it also feels more laid back. If you want to create an urban, lofty, and chill vibe while maintaining a cool style then a low profile place is the way to go.
